We are looking for a Senior Health, Safety & Wellbeing Manager to join our Infrastructure team. This is a hybrid role with regular travel across sites.
You’ll:
1. Support the implementation of the HSW Business Plan and OU HSW strategy
2. Lead on the development and implementation of the HSW sector strategy
3. Lead on HSW tender submissions, coordinating responses via tender completion from the wider HSW team
4. Collaborate to ensure best practise is made known, implemented
5. Attend and support relevant industry groups as required
We’re looking for:
6. Line manager experience, with a particular emphasis on leading leaders
7. Level 5 academically recognised qualification or above (i.e. Diploma/Degree/NVQ) relating to health, safety and wellbeing
8. Chartered membership of IOSH (CMIOSH) or working towards
9. In depth understanding of the principles of health, safety and wellbeing including a good understanding of effective management techniques
10. Experience of working on highways contracts in a health and safety capacity
