Our Client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring that financial resources are used efficiently and effectively throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of cost control methods in the construction industry. Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. * Monitor project expenditures and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints. * Conduct regular cost analysis and reporting to identify variances and recommend corrective actions. * Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure accurate pricing and timely delivery of projects. * Assess risks and develop strategies to mitigate financial impacts on projects. * Maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects. * Liaise with clients to provide updates on project costs and financial performance. Requirements * A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is preferred * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry with an emphasis on Mechanical, Electrical, AC and Duct-work is highly desirable. * Strong knowledge of cost control techniques and financial management principles. * Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. * Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Experience with a range of Contract terms including JCT & NEC.
