Main duties of the job
You will be eager to keep up to date with developments in the treatments that you are prescribing and help With You to develop, implement and evaluate the interventions we use with our clients. These include:
* Harm reduction providing support and advice in relation to substance misuse clinics; where we assess and review prescribed treatment plans
* Advise on detoxification, vaccination, and blood testing programmes
It's not just about those people who actively engage with our service though - you will also be reaching out to those in our communities to offer proactive support and education.

About the Role
We are part of a large integrated drug and alcohol service working with some of Cornwall's most excluded and disadvantaged people. Successful candidates will work as part of the clinical team, alongside in-house services which include outreach, hospital and adult community and criminal justice. WithYou is dedicated to working with our clients to find the right path for them to achieve their goals. You will join a passionate team that goes the extra mile. The position is full-time (37.5 hours/week) based in Truro, with an induction period and ongoing support and CPD. A full job description is available upon request.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
* Registered General Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, or Pharmacist (GPhC)
* Completed the supplementary/independent prescriber course with appropriate registration
Experience (Essential)
* Prescribing experience and a passion for working with our client group
* Evidence of continuous professional development
* Experience delivering nursing interventions in community settings
* Experience in healthcare assessments, care planning, and key working
* Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and collaborating with external agencies
* Knowledge of substance misuse and its health impacts
Other
This role requires a DBS check due to the nature of the work.
