Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Pharmacy Technician to work within our integrated healthcare team at HMP Nottingham.
You will work as an active member of the healthcare team to ensure delivery of a specialist, high quality, safe pharmacy ordering, distribution and supply service that reflects National and Local Policy and Priorities, while maintaining a high level of security.
Responsibilities
* Provide information and advice to patients and colleagues about medication and processes where appropriate.
* Be part of a highly motivated and skilled team that provides integrated healthcare (physical health, mental health and substance misuse services).
* Support all aspects of the supply and distribution of medications to ensure the safe, timely and accurate provision of medication to patients.
* Ensure that all medications are ordered via electronic prescribing on SystmOne.
* Complete medication reconciliation for all new arrivals, provide ongoing medication optimisation support and reviews, and take the lead on safe storage and use of medications.
