Job Title: Machine Operative Location: Beaminster Job Type: Temporary (with potential to go permanent) Working Hours: 12-hour shifts working a 4-5-5-4 pattern (07:00-19:00) Pay Rate: £15.56 p/h HRGO Recruitment are delighted to be working with a well-established, family-run business that operates within the UK's number one fair trading company. We are currently seeking General Operatives to join their Blending team in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining high standards. Key Responsibilities: Preparing and blending teas and infusions in line with the daily production plan Receiving raw materials and storing them correctly, ensuring segregation (e.g. organic, Fairtrade) is maintained Weighing and milling ingredients accurately Building blends according to BOM (Bill of Materials) specifications Operating and using lifting equipment such as pallet trucks, pedestrian stackers, FLT, and bag lifters Filling bulk bags, collecting samples, and completing production paperwork Cleaning and maintaining blending equipment as required Ensuring proper segregation of organic products throughout the process Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in the blending and warehouse areas Following HACCP procedures and food safety standards at all times Working within company Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance standards Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts covering days 4 days working 5 days off 5 days working 4 days off What We're Looking For: Previous experience within a food manufacturing or production environment is desirable A valid forklift (FLT) licence or experience would be a strong advantage Good level of physical fitness and ability to handle manual tasks Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions Organised, self-motivated, and able to prioritise workload Reliable and punctual Able to work effectively as part of a team Basic English reading and communication skills Willingness to learn and develop new skills Skills & Competencies: Proactive and energetic approach Strong sense of responsibility Team player with good communication skills Positive attitude and openness to feedback Commitment to continuous improvement and learning High level of integrity and attention to quality Training & Development: Full on-the-job training provided Opportunities to gain further skills within blending and production Additional Information: Working within a business committed to high food safety standards, including BRC and Organic certification Supportive team environment with clear operational processes Long-term opportunities available for the right candidates Please click apply now if interested, and a consultant will be in contact.
