* Job Title:Automatic Door Engineer
* Reports to:Engineering Supervisor
* Location:Head Office is in South Shields, however the role is Regional.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
* You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of automatic doors in a variety of commercial settings. As an Automatic Door Engineer, you will ensure that all systems operate safely, efficiently, and in compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Installation: Install automatic door systems, including sliding, swing, and revolving doors, ensuring proper setup and functionality according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards.
* Maintenance & Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repair services on automatic doors, including troubleshooting issues with sensors, motors, and electronic controls.
* System Testing: Conduct thorough testing and adjustments of automatic doors to ensure proper operation, including checking safety features, sensors, and door alignment.
* Customer Interaction: Liaise with customers to explain issues, repairs, and new installations in a clear and professional manner. Provide excellent customer service and support during all stages of the process.
* Compliance: Ensure all installations and repairs are carried out in compliance with local safety regulations and industry standards.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed.
Qualifications & Skills:
* Experience: Proven experience working with automatic door systems is essential.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical components and door control systems.
* Certification: Relevant certifications to support your experience.
* Driving License: A full, clean driving license is required as the role involves traveling to various sites.
* Customer Service: Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
