Trainee SEN Support Worker – Specialist School

A specialist SEN school is seeking a Trainee SEN Support Worker to join their supportive and experienced team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in special educational needs.
The school supports pupils with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), ADHD, SEMH needs, communication difficulties and learning disabilities.
Responsibilities:
* Providing one-to-one and small group support
* Helping pupils access learning activities
* Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
* Supporting emotional and social development
* Building trusting relationships with pupils and staff
Ideal Applicants:
* Experience in care, youth work, sports coaching or support work
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Patient and empathetic approach
* A genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
