Sterile Services Technician
Location: Circle Decontamination – Radlett
Hours: 22.5 hours per week (part-time, permanent)
Shift pattern: 14:00 – 22:00 or 3 night shifts per week (flexible)
Salary: Up to £28,705.43 FTE per year (based on experience, training and qualification)
Circle Health Group Decontamination is responsible for the provision of sterile equipment and instrumentation for use in surgical and interventional procedures in hospitals across England and Glasgow. The unit operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with rotating shifts covering days and nights as required.
Duties
* Provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to Operating Theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
* Assist in the provision of decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer.
* Maintain good working relationships with all customers.
* Promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department.
* Ensure all equipment is maintained to the required standard of safety, reporting any faults to Team Leader/Manager.
* Assist the Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
* Maintain the accepted Health & Safety requirements for the protection of staff and visitors.
* Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
