Nestled in the picturesque Lanark countryside, Beechgrove Care Home is a welcoming and compassionate nursing home providing Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care for up to 70 residents. We take pride in offering exceptional standards of care in a warm, supportive environment where both residents and staff feel valued.
We are now looking for a dedicated Trainee Senior Care Assistant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Assistant with an SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will receive full support and training to develop your leadership skills and progress into a Senior Care Assistant role.

Your RoleAs a Trainee Senior Care Assistant, you will lead by example, supporting both residents and your team to deliver person-centred care of the highest standard. You will assist with daily routines, medication administration, documentation and communication with families and healthcare professionals. You will take pride in creating a positive atmosphere within the home and ensuring residents feel safe, respected and well cared for at all times.
What We Are Looking For
* SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (minimum)
* Willingness to work towards achieving SVQ Level 3
* Medication administration training (or willingness to complete it)
* Previous experience supporting older people in a care setting
* Strong leadership potential with good communication and teamwork skills
* A kind, compassionate and professional approach
