Contract: Permanent, full-time with agile working options available

Your Role and Responsibilities
As our Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of diverse projects, including healthcare, MOD, MOJ, education, and commercial schemes across South Wales. Your collaborative spirit will help maximize project outcomes during both preconstruction and construction stages.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Compiling Consultant Appointments and aligning scopes to meet stakeholder and contractual requirements.
* Developing the Design Management Plan and implementing Kier design processes, including client approvals.
* Understanding client briefs and contractor proposals to achieve optimal design solutions that enhance buildability.
* Defining design outputs within release schedules to meet Integrated Construction Programme requirements.
* Managing the design process to meet or exceed customer expectations while identifying and mitigating risks.
* Ensuring compliance with CDM Regulations and supporting Kier’s duties as the Principal Designer.
* Meeting environmental, waste, and CO2 targets to protect our planet.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have a solid background in construction design, ideally with experience at a Tier 1 contractor. We’re looking for candidates who possess:
* Previous experience in design management on construction projects.
* An HNC or higher in a construction or design-related discipline.
* The ability to build strong relationships and engage effectively with all stakeholders.
