An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager to work on our specialist older adult dementia assessment ward.
Our Older Adult Mental Health services offer developmental opportunities and a focus on compassionate management and staff development. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Main duties of the job
We seek an experienced Mental Health Nurse who is motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic, committed to developing our inpatient service. You will need clinical experience to lead and model excellent care, ensuring high standards are maintained.
The Deputy Ward Manager will oversee ward management in the absence of the ward manager, demonstrating leadership qualities. Responsibilities include assessing and implementing high-quality care, supporting patients and families, facilitating safe discharges, and providing clinical advice to junior staff.
You should have good knowledge and experience in caring for older adults with complex needs and demonstrate skills in clinical leadership.
