Salary: £40,000 per annum
An established golf club is seeking a creative, enthusiastic, and reliable Head Chef to lead its kitchen operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, customer-focused chef with a passion for high-quality food and service, working in a well-structured and friendly environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the kitchen operation
- Develop and deliver a varied daily menu, ensuring consistently high standards of quality and presentation
- Plan and deliver catering for a wide range of events, including club matches, private functions, themed evenings, and special events
- Lead, manage, motivate, and inspire the kitchen team
- Train and supervise kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety procedures
- Maintain strict quality control standards
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety and food hygiene regulations
- Manage stock control, ordering, and food cost control, working within agreed budgets
- Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and successful event delivery
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a quality food-led environment
- Strong culinary skills with creativity, passion, and attention to detail
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Confident leadership and strong communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Ability to create and adapt menus for different occasions and customer expectations
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Own transport preferred due to location
