Are you an experienced childcare professional with a passion for early years education and the drive to lead a dedicated team? We are seeking a Nursery Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of our well-established nursery, ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our children.
About the Role
Our nursery currently operates on a term-time only basis. As Nursery Manager, you will play a central role in leading the transition to a full-year provision (50 weeks per year). This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to shape the future of our setting, expanding our provision and ensuring a smooth and well-managed transition for staff, children, and families.
In addition to managing this change, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment, managing staff, budgets, and compliance with statutory and Ofsted requirements, while building strong relationships with parents and the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the transition from a term-time only setting to 50 weeks a year operation, ensuring high-quality provision throughout.
* Provide high-quality leadership and management to the nursery team.
* Ensure compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), safeguarding, and Ofsted regulations.
* Oversee the delivery of engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
* Manage staffing, including recruitment, training, supervision, and performance reviews.
* Maintain accurate administrative, financial, and operational records.
* Build and sustain positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and external agencies.
* Drive continuous improvement to ensure the nursery maintains and exceeds required standards.
About You
* Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years/Childcare (essential).
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a supervisory/managerial role within an early years setting.
* Strong knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and Ofsted frameworks.
* Experience of managing change or expanding provision (desirable).
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
* Passionate about providing outstanding early years education and care.
