Job Title: Head of Compliance
Location: Nottingham (Hybrid)
Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 depending on experience
We are partnering with a leading company based in Nottingham to recruit an experienced and dynamic Head of Compliance. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned compliance professional to lead and shape the compliance function, ensuring the company continues to meet and exceed regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
Culture and Strategy:
· Build and nurture a culture of compliance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
· Support and guide the Compliance and Audit Manager, providing expertise and leadership.
· Collaborate with the MD and Operations Director to establish key objectives for the Compliance team.
Compliance Monitoring:
· Overhaul and take full responsibility for the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
· Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of compliance measures and controls, ensuring continuous improvement.
Risk Management:
· Identify and evaluate potential risks to business objectives.
· Implement measures to mitigate or eliminate risks, conducting thorough risk assessments and reporting findings appropriately.
Policy and Procedure Management:
· Ensure company policies and procedures are robust and in line with regulatory guidance.
· Continuously review and update policies to maintain a strong compliance framework.
Management Information (MI) and Reporting:
· Provide comprehensive compliance MI with analytic analysis to senior management.
· Prepare and present board reports to keep management informed
Skills and experience:
· 10+ years of experience in compliance within the financial services sector.
· In-depth knowledge of UK financial services regulations, particularly high-cost credit.
· Proven experience managing a compliance monitoring plan and leading a compliance team.
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
· Ability to influence and build professional relationships at all levels of the organisation.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Experience in developing and implementing compliance policies and procedures.
· Demonstrated ability to manage risk and resolve compliance issues effectively.
