Your Role
As part of our second line of defense, the Enterprise Information Security Architect plays a crucial role in ensuring our systems, services, and technology programs are secure by design. You will act as a trusted risk advisor to enterprise and solution architects, IT leaders, and change teams, embedding security, resilience, and data protection into architecture decisions from the outset.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Providing independent assurance that technology solutions align with organizational policies, risk appetite, and regulatory obligations.
* Shaping information security architecture and governance.
* Supporting secure design patterns and guiding the organization towards consistent, risk-informed decision-making.
Essential Criteria
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Proven experience in providing independent security or architectural assurance across IT change, enterprise architecture, or transformation programs.
* A strong understanding of secure-by-design and privacy-by-design principles.
* Demonstrable knowledge of cyber and information security risks, including data protection and cloud security.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Relevant professional certification (e.g., TOGAF, SABSA, CISSP, CISM) or equivalent experience.

You are a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of architecture, cyber, or information security. You recognize that secure design is fundamental to building trust, resilience, and business value. Comfortable operating in the second line of defense or a similar GRC function, you bring the confidence to challenge constructively and guide decision-making.
Your strengths include:

* Navigating technical details, governance forums, and business conversations.
* Aligning technology decisions with risk appetite and regulatory expectations.
