Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of Consultant in Paediatric Neurology at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales in Cardiff. Applicants with sub-specialty interests to complement the work of the department are welcomed. Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements. Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of interview.
Responsibilities
* You will contribute to the established paediatric neurology service, support a wide range of clinical services, and participate in the on-call rota with an emphasis on both in-patient and outreach clinic work.
* Contribute to the consolidation of all paediatric neurology services for South and Mid Wales on one site in Cardiff and help design and develop a neurology service that serves the children of Wales.
* Engage in teaching and professional development within a teaching centre environment and support departmental growth and service improvement.
Salary and Contract
You will be able to take advantage of the excellent Consultant contract for Wales. The basic salary range for this post is £110,240 per annum to £160,951 per annum.
Qualifications and Recruitment Details
* Applicants must ensure they provide names and contact details of referees covering at least the last 3 years of their employment/training history in full.
* In addition, applicants who are currently or have most recently been employed as a substantive Consultant or as a Locum Consultant in post for more than 12 months must also provide the name of their Medical Director as an additional referee.
