Swanwood Partnership are a friendly, forward-thinking, partner-led GP surgery based in Wickford, Essex, serving a patient population of just under 7,000. Due to a recent reshuffle, w e are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on practice manager to join our experienced team on a part-time basis for 24 hours per week, flexible hours can be discussed. We are looking for someone who can help us build on our strengths and support our continued growth, someone who enjoys working with people and can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. You will need to be comfortable leading a team with warmth and confidence. Key responsibilities will include: Overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice Supporting and leading our admin and clinical teams Managing HR, staff training, and development Looking after the financial side – budgets, payroll, and reporting Ensuring we stay compliant with CQC and NHS requirements Helping us meet QOF and Enhanced Service targets Working closely with our PCN, ICB, and other local partners Bringing fresh ideas to improve how we work and care for our patients If you’re someone who can balance people skills with practical management, and who enjoys making a difference in a local community, we’d love to hear from you. About the Candidate To be considered for the position, you will need the following experience and skills; Organised and enjoy variety in your day. Approachable and competent. Experience of working in a GP practice desirable. Experience in a management or leadership role is essential. Understanding of healthcare or the NHS would be a bonus.
