Overview
The SpongeBob Musical at Tyne Theatre Productions is seeking individuals aged 18-25 to fill three voluntary roles and provide support during the production period for The SpongeBob Musical, October 2025 to February 2026. Tyne Theatre Productions is the in-house amateur production company of Tyne Theatre & Opera House.
Shadow Roles available. These opportunities are for young people interested in moving into the theatre/arts industry. All roles are voluntary (unpaid) but provide valuable experience in a large-scale amateur production company within a professional setting. The closing date for applications is Friday 24 October 2025.
Shadow Choreographer
This role is designed for someone to gain experience to support entry into the arts industry. You will shadow our production Choreographer, gaining understanding into the role and their response to the team artistic vision for The SpongeBob Musical. Shadow Director
You will support our Director by leading some principal or Ensemble rehearsals, or parts of rehearsals as required, following detailed planning meetings. You will be included in discussions around Artistic vision including sound and light design and may be asked to attend Production meetings with the TTOH Technical staff. Shadow Musical Director
You will shadow our Music Director in our production rehearsals, potentially leading parts of Ensemble rehearsals or working with solo cast members as required.
