Mechanical Engineer
Droitwich Spa - 6 Month FTC & Permanent Onsite
The Opportunity
If you're a Mechanical Engineer who's tired of being stuck purely on CAD and wants to be closer to real engineering delivery, this is worth a look.
We're working with a global engineering business specialising in pump systems and plantroom solutions across building services and industrial projects. This role sits right in the middle of design, projects, and production, giving you real ownership and visibility across the full lifecycle.
You won't just be producing drawings, you'll be involved in making sure designs actually work, get built, and perform on site.
What You'll Be Doing
Managing and updating engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs
Owning BOMs and supporting engineering change control
Working closely with production to resolve issues and keep builds on track
Supporting projects from design updates through to delivery
Getting involved in NPI activities and continuous improvement
Liaising with internal teams and clients to ensure everything is technically aligned
What They're Looking For
Mechanical Engineering background within HVAC, building services, or industrial environments
Experience with drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
Some exposure to BOMs, change control, or engineering systems (ERP/PLM)
Comfortable working close to production, solving real engineering problems
CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar)
Why It's Worth It
Proper engineering role, not just sat behind a screen
Exposure to full project lifecycle, from design through to build
Hands-on involvement with production and real-world problem solving
Global business with strong pipeline and long-term opportunities
Clear potential to move into a permanent role
Bottom Line
This suits someone who understands mechanical systems and wants to be closer to how things are actually delivered, not just designed.
