Anderson Knight is delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a Management Accountant to join their Operational Finance team based in Glasgow. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a role with real visibility and influence, where you will report directly to the Finance Manager and play a key part in shaping the financial reporting process across a highly innovative and forward-thinking organisation.
As Management Accountant, you will act as a trusted partner to operational teams, providing accurate reporting, insightful analysis, and valuable financial guidance. This position is central to enhancing the overall effectiveness of the finance function, driving improvements, and contributing to the success of a dynamic, growing business.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare high-quality monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
* Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts across the full group
* Produce timely and accurate group consolidations, including IFRS adjustments and journals
* Support the creation of the monthly board pack with detailed analysis, commentary, and supporting financial data
* Assist with statutory audits and internal reviews
* Deliver meaningful variance analysis and key business performance metrics
* Support and prepare cash flow forecasting
* Build strong relationships with operational, sales, and key budget holders across the organisation
* Champion continuous improvement initiatives, identifying and implementing enhancements to finance processes and controls
* Support and mentor assistant accountants within the team
* Assist with direct and indirect tax activities across the group
About You
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA)
* Advanced Excel skills with strong overall IT capability
* Ability to manage multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy and strong attention to detail
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments
* A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement
