The role The organisation is excited to be recruiting for a Director of Finance and Resources to be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the financial management and HR functions within the Charity. Working closely with the CEO as a member of the Executive team, the post holder will act as a strategic advisor to the Trustee board. Key elements of the role will include: Leading the financial planning, cashflow management, budgeting and cost control for the charity. Working closely with the Finance Manager to ensure timely financial reporting is completed including monthly management accounts and forecasts. Responsibility for the production of the annual Financial Statements and Trustee Annual Report. Acting as an advisor and coach to senior staff to support and improve financial literacy and decision making whilst leading the annual budgeting and business cycle. Providing effective leadership, direction and training to the Finance and HR teams, ensuring that Finance and HR strategies align with the overall business strategy. Oversee HR operations, developing and implementing people strategies and ensuring compliance with employment law. The candidate the charity is looking for will have proven experience in a senior level finance role, preferably within the voluntary sector. They will also have experience of leading an HR team with a proven ability to drive strategic HR initiatives. Candidates should have excellent planning, communication and organisation skills and be able to effectively balance a substantial workload ranging from day-to-day tasks to strategic thinking.
