Focusing on the Academy and Wrexham AFC Foundation - assist in managing and creating regular, engaging content for the Club’s official media channels, including but not limited to: digital and social media, website, live streaming and written publications such as the matchday programme.
The successful candidate should be an innovative individual, who possesses strong written, audio, video and photo capturing and is able to work in a fast-paced football environment.
Candidates must have at least two years’ relevant experience, preferably within a similar role within the sports industry, and be highly motivated, consistent in their approach, and be able to successfully deliver the values of the Club.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Head of Media and Communications in the delivery of the Club’s day-to-day and long-term communications and media plans.
Create/capture regular and engaging content for the Club’s digital media channels, in line with the Club’s brand, tone of voice and values, including video, audio and graphics.
Create written material for the club’s matchday programme and Club website, newsletters and internal communications, and assist with editing content received.
Assist with the delivery of Club-led events, including design, graphics, presentations and printed materials.
Assist the Head of Media and Communications in managing relationships with external media organisations and handling press requests.
Respond swiftly and appropriately to incoming supporter queries received via social media channels.
Ensure all internal and external marketing material strictly complies with the Club’s brand guidelines and editorial style guide.
Provide matchday support to the in-house media team, volunteer team and external agencies.
Work closely and build relationships with key stakeholders both within the Club and externally, including playing/coaching staff and agencies.
Work with other departments to produce marketing collateral in order to generate commercial revenue.
Assist with the planning, production and implementation of the Club’s CRM strategy and devise innovative and engaging ways to grow its database.
Manage the Club’s content calendar on a daily basis, informing staff of any changes or amendments to dates and times where necessary.
Produce regular analytics reports for digital media channels to inform plans and KPIs.
Carry out additional duties as reasonably as requested and required by the Head of Media and Communications.
Any other duties as required.

About The Candidate EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
A Degree in a relevant area (Media, PR, Marketing, Journalism etc.) or a number of years’ experience normally associated with this level of qualification.
Extensive experience in using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software
Demonstrated experience in sharing content on social media and digital platforms – ideally within the sports or entertainment industry for a brand with a global reach
Ability to meet the travel needs of the post which includes attendance at away games for the Academy and community events for the Foundation
PERSONAL SPECIFICATION – SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED
Excellent understanding of the importance of branding.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
