Overview
We are looking for a Lead Clinician to manage our in-house Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham / Stretton based in Rutland. The postholder will work collaboratively with both the school’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Regional Clinical Lead. The role will be split between clinically leading the team and holding a therapy caseload, delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for students with complex needs related to autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Meeting the needs of EHCP plans will be a primary focus in this role, targeted via the OFG all, group and individual clinical methods embedded into our clinical practice. The Lead Clinician will coordinate line management of onsite clinical team members and lead on service development of the school-based clinical service, alongside the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead. Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the in-house Clinical Team at The Shires – Oakham / Stretton, in collaboration with the school SLT and Regional Clinical Lead.
* Split time between clinical leadership and maintaining a therapy caseload.
* Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex profiles (autism, neurodivergence, developmental trauma, SEMH).
* Coordinate line management for onsite clinical team members and drive service development of the school-based clinical service.
* Work with EHCP planning and ensure alignment with the OFG clinical approaches (all, group, and individual).
* Maintain safeguarding best practices and ensure pupils are heard, respected, and involved in decisions affecting them.
Essential Criteria
* Degree qualification in a specific discipline.
* Valid and up-to-date professional registration and membership of a professional body (e.g., BPS).
* Experience within the specialist client group; experience with autistic individuals and/or those with complex needs.
* Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities.
* Experience providing supervision and supporting a therapy team.
* Ability to work independently and dynamically within a growing clinical service.
* Experience of multi-professional work with teams or services within the designated specialty (preferred).
* Full UK valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Location, Salary & Hours
* Location: The Shires – Stretton / Oakham, Rutland, East Midlands LE15 7GT / LE15 6JB.
* Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 dependent on experience.
* Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
* Contract: Permanent (Term time only, or flexibility around full-time discussed based on circumstances).
