We’re looking for a passionate and driven Construction Project Manager to join our Client’s Delivery Team to support a key project within the Scottish Water Framework.
In this pivotal role, you’ll take ownership of the full project lifecycle — from design and construction to commissioning and final handover. Working closely with a talented multi-disciplinary team, you’ll make sure every stage is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard of quality.
You’ll report directly to the Senior Project Manager or Operations Manager and play a leading role in ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and with exceptional client satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Lead by example, promoting outstanding safety, quality, and environmental standards across all site activities.
* Drive the implementation of our Business Management System (BMS) through every phase — from tender handover to project completion.
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, partners, and suppliers.
* Ensure projects are resourced effectively with skilled and motivated teams, aligned on goals and responsibilities.
* Plan and deliver complex projects — reviewing and approving Project Execution Plans (PEPs) and tracking progress to keep everything on target.
* Oversee preparation and approval of construction plans and method statements before work begins.
* Maintain meticulous records, documentation, and cost forecasts throughout each project.
* Manage commercial performance proactively — providing clear, accurate forecasts and early visibility of risks and opportunities.
What You’ll Bring
Essential:
* Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary design and construction projects, ideally within the water industry.
* A degree or equivalent qualification in construction, commercial, or engineering disciplines.
* Project Management Qualification (PMQ) or equivalent certification.
* Strong leadership and communication skills — able to inspire teams and build trusted client relationships.
* A track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
* Solid knowledge of NEC and/or IChemE contracts, with the ability to manage and negotiate effectively.
* Experience leading Governance Reviews, risk management, and CDM/Health & Safety compliance.
Desirable:
* Experience delivering water and wastewater treatment plants.
* Chartered status with an engineering, commercial, or construction institution.
* NEC Project Manager Accreditation.
