Overview
Our client is seeking a Hard Services Manager to lead Hard FM operations across a portfolio of commercial buildings. The role focuses on planned and reactive maintenance, statutory compliance, and overall operational performance across multiple sites, including regular travel to North Yorkshire.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee PPM and reactive maintenance across all sites
* Ensure CAFM systems (e.g. Planet FM) are accurate and up to date
* Conduct audits, compliance checks, and quality reviews
* Lead and develop on-site maintenance teams
* Manage contractors and third-party suppliers
* Control budgets, track spend, and ensure value for money
* Provide technical support on building systems (HVAC, alarms, plumbing)
* Ensure full statutory and contractual compliance
* Produce reports in line with QMS standards
Skills
* HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services, Engineering, or FM
* City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
* Strong technical FM background in commercial environments
* Knowledge of compliance (H&S, fire, building regulations)
* Experience with CAFM systems and asset management
* Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Additional Information:
* 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday
* Participation in on-call rota (3rd line support)
* Occasional weekend flexibility required
