About the role

The role is a permanent, full‑time (40 hours per week) post based in Edinburgh Royal Infirmary. It is a senior consultant position with an honorary contract with the University of Edinburgh.
Key responsibilities
* Provide senior support to radiology trainees and radiographers, focusing on improving patient care through rapid consultant‑led assessment.
* Deliver teaching of radiology and radiography to trainees.
* Maintain a highly visible consultant presence in the department.
Qualifications and requirements
* Full GMC Registration and licence to practise.
* Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register (e.g., CCT, or within 6 months of confirmed entry).
* UK‑trained doctors should have evidence of higher specialist training; Portfolio Pathway route doctors only eligible after award.
* Non‑UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
