PROPOSED SALARY RANGE: £27,600 - £37,600 depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role is ideal for a creative ELT professional with a flair for digital storytelling. You’ll design and present engaging English language learning content tailored for social media platforms, using audio, video, and visual formats. With a deep understanding of teaching English digitally versus in the classroom, you’ll connect with global learners through compelling, accessible materials that reflect BBC Learning English’s standards and style.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND IMPACT
* Develop and present engaging English language teaching content in audio, video, text, and image formats.
* Publish ELT materials across BBC Learning English’s social media platforms and other digital channels.
* Ensure content aligns with BBC Learning English’s strategy and pedagogical approach.
* Adapt teaching materials to suit diverse international audiences and varying levels of English proficiency.
* Collaborate with editorial and production teams to maintain high‑quality, visually compelling output.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
* Advanced ELT qualification (e.g. DELTA or relevant Master’s) and recent experience teaching English to adults.
* Recent experience teaching English as a foreign language to adults, for example, in a language school or online setting.
* Fluent English proficiency with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
* Proven ability to write, adapt, and present engaging ELT scripts for diverse global audiences.
* Experience creating and moderating multimedia ELT content for social media, with strong visual and editorial judgement.
* Proficiency in image, audio, and video editing tools, and familiarity with BBC Learning English’s approach.
