Job Description
In this role, you'll be central to providing accurate financial reporting, insightful performance analysis and forward-looking guidance. You'll partner with colleagues across the business to give clarity on the numbers and the confidence to make good decisions.Your day-to-day will include:
3. Preparing, analysing, and reporting KPIs on a monthly and quarterly basis
4. Monitoring weekly sales and margin performance, highlighting trends and opportunities
5. Delivering monthly cost centre reporting with meaningful commentary
6. Producing monthly management accounts and executive-level analysis
7. Developing quarterly accounts packs to support strategic planning
8. Analysing payroll costs and workforce expenditure
9. Appraising capital investment proposals and conducting post-implementation reviews
10. Carrying out competitor bench-marking and market analysis
11. Supporting the statutory accounts process and external audits
12. Getting involved in ad-hoc projects and cross-functional initiatives to drive business growth
This is a hands-on role where your insight will help shape everything from day-to-day management to long-term strategy.
The Successful Applicant
You're a finance professional with at least two years' experience in financial analysis or management accounting - and you enjoy using data to solve problems.You'll have:
13. A strong understanding of reporting cycles, cost centre management, and statutory accounts
14. Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large data sets
15. Accuracy and attention to detail with a commercial mindset
16. The ability to translate financial information in a way that's clear and useful for non-finance colleagues
17. A collaborative and flexible approach - and if you've used SAGE 200, that's a bonus
