Description Norfolk Crisis and Resilience Advisor | 10241 | Permanent Contract | 37 hours per week | £32,061 to £33,699 per annum (Scale G) | County Hall, Norwich Part of Norfolk County Council, the Norfolk Crisis and Resilience Service provides hardship support for people across the county. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that works with vulnerable people in our society and has a positive impact on our communities. In April 2026 this service will replace the Clients Hardship Service with an enhanced service funded for 3 years through the Crisis Resilience fund. The current adviser roles fall into two categories Digital Adviser – hybrid working Outreach Adviser – Working from a variety of locations with partner agencies with a requirement to visit clients in their homes. The Norfolk Crisis and Resilience Advisers provide money management and holistic support for people to become financially independent and address the underlying issues prohibiting this. The roles involve speaking with clients either on the phone or face to face implementing a Trauma Informed approach to provide the best outcome and ongoing support for the individual. We are looking for people with professional curiosity who can assess information from multiple sources, provide information and guidance and ongoing referrals to both support and grant providers. Confidence in making decisions, motivation to make a difference and advocate for the vulnerable is essential. We consider people from a range of different backgrounds with experience of money management, providing information and guidance in holistic support and grant organisations and/or working with vulnerable people would be highly beneficial. You'll need solid communication skills, confidence in dealing with vulnerable clients, experience of conducting difficult conversations and strong computer skills.
