Haywards Farm School Permanent - Full-time -Term time plus 10 inset days About Haywards Farm School Haywards Farm School is a small, outstanding independent school in West Berkshire, supporting up to 34 students with a range of special educational needs and disabilities. Our pupils may have learning difficulties, social and emotional needs and autism (ASD). Many have a history of non-attendance and need a consistent, relational approach to help them re-engage with education. The Role Haywards Farm School is looking for a passionate KS1/KS2 Teacher to join our small, nurturing school. This is not a typical classroom role. You'll teach a high-quality, mainstream curriculum to children with a range of SEN and SEMH needs — adapting your approach within a trauma-informed, attachment-aware framework so that every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Our classes are small, our adult-to-child ratios are high, and our aspirations for every child are higher still. You'll work alongside therapists, specialist support staff, and external professionals as part of a truly multidisciplinary team.
