The role of the Group Finance Assistant is assisting with management accounts, supporting the Group Finance Manager and other management team members; improving, documenting and ensuring processes are followed.
Responsibilities
* Assist with completion of daily cash reconciliations.
* Responsible for completion of bank reconciliation.
* Assist with completion of tax filings including intrastate returns, TSS and other customs declarations.
* Responsible for posting and reconciliation of company credit cards.
* Contribute to the month end finance process including posting of journals.
* Responsible for reconciliation of certain balance sheet accounts including fixed assets.
* Responsible for management of debtors ledger, including posting of cash received.
* Use of the Document management system (Docuware) for invoice processing and approvals.
* Other ad-hoc finance tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications
* 2 years or more previous experience working within a busy finance role within the last 5 years.
* Previous experience completing a bank reconciliation.
* Competent using Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook and Excel.
* AAT Qualification.
* Experience of working within hospitality or retail industry.
* Experience within a family run business.
Further Information
25-30 hours per week. Salary dependant on experience (£26,500 to £27,750 pro rata 37.5hrs week)
