We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Year 6 SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the educational journey of a pupil with Special Educational Needs. Beginning ASAP.
Duties as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with identified SEN.
* Assist in implementing individual learning plans (EHCP/IEP) under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
* Support the pupil’s academic, social, and emotional development.
* Adapt resources and learning activities to meet the child’s specific needs.
* Promote independence, confidence, and inclusion in all aspects of school life.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and parents/carers.
Ideal SEN 121 Teaching Assistant:
* Experience working with children with SEN (especially in Key Stage 2) is desirable.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills as a SEN 121 Teaching Assistant.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Ability to use initiative while following guidance from teachers and SENCO.
* A genuine commitment to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing.
