Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers.
We are currently recruiting for KS2-KS4 Tutor to provide provision to a Student based in Suffolk.
* Location - Suffolk
* Position - 1:1 Tutor
* Start date - ASAP
* End date - Ongoing - Until the end of the academic year, with potential of being extended.
* Contract type - Temporary
* Hours - Up to 3 hours per day - 5 days per week (Monday - Friday)
* Rate of pay - 25/ 35 per hour
* Term Time Only
* During School Hours Only
We are looking for candidates who are:-
* Available during school hours up to 15hrs contracts per week
* Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects
* Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD
* Exceptional behaviour management strategies
* Prepared to work face to face within the community
This will be continuous and until the student is placed within a suitable school.
Requirements
* Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEN classes ranging from KS2-KS5.
* QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years experience teaching NC core subjects
* Two years of teaching in a UK school to SEN pupils
* Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
