Role Responsibility Opportunities have arisen for ambitious, enthusiastic, and motivated Graduate Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineers who are looking to develop their technical skills and expertise. About you The Graduate Tunnels Engineer role is a KSF grade, full time role. The role can be based at our offices in Maidstone or Ashford, Kent although staff may work from home when not required in the office or on site. The successful applicants will develop the ability to provide technical advice and assist with general project management of schemes, including: - Undertake engineering roles for the respective Team Leader, this may include assisting with: approving designs, vehicle restraint systems assets, planning and implementing the inspection programme for existing assets or delivering our capital and revenue works schemes. - Assist with site visits and audits to ensure assets are being constructed and maintained in accordance with agreed and approved methodologies. - Assist in the preparation of risk assessments and method statements. - Assist with budget planning and reporting in areas of responsibility within the team. - Assist in the preparation of briefs to consultants and other service providers to deliver projects. - Ensure all project documentation and correspondence is logged and filed accurately. - You will be required to provide assistance to other teams within the GET directorate, or any other part of KCC, from time to time as and when your skills and knowledge are required for particular projects and initiatives.
