Lufton College Cambian Lufton College is a specialist residential education provider for 16 to 25-year olds with Autism, learning disabilities, and complex behavioural and emotional needs. The college provides a 2-3-year pathway to prepare our students for adulthood, equipping them with the skills and qualities required to lead a fulfilled, independent and ambitious life. The Role Working closely and under the direction of the Placements Manager and Principal, you will carry out a range of administration tasks which support the referrals process of potential student placements, reducing the timescales of referral received to assessment and offer by ensuring efficient and timely completion of booking of assessments, information gathering and supporting the Placements manager with organising and co-ordinating visits to the college by parents, potential students and local authorities. Your role will require you to work closely with the Placements Manager, admin team and SLT to fulfil a range of tasks promoting the college, such as social media posts, print arrangements and distributing of college prospectus, sharing college newsletters and promotional information to parents, local SEN school links and local authorities and attending where required open days and promotional events. Our students are at the centre of what we do, and having a passion and willingness to support our college teams to provide the best college experience and education for students is an important part of the role, and understanding the daily changes and pressures teams may face to provide this for students. Main Responsibilities Maintain ongoing tracking and appropriate documentation on student placements, updating the Placements manager and supporting with regular communications between parties and updating college trackers and commissioning managers. To actively update the college social media and marketing team with good news stories, updates and other promotional material To attend with the Placements manager, local school and area events to promote the college as a next steps placement for school leavers in the local counties (Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire, Devon, North Somerset, BANES). To write and deliver transition plans for new students coming in. Supporting young people and families with any anxieties they may have; Accountable for ensuring that review action trackers are updated and monitored to clearly track developments week on week to ensure that all agreed actions are achieved in a meaningful timeframe; To ensure the annual schedule of Placement/Annual Review meeting dates are set in-line with statutory and local authority requirements; To respond to placement queries from commissioning managers, student, parent or Local Authority and seek to address any issues raised, liaising with the Placement Manager with any concerns that need to be escalated; To liaise with multidisciplinary staff to ensure placement requirements are met and maintained for each agreed programme; Supporting with admin tasks as instructed, such as arranging meetings, taking minutes and sharing minutes and documents. Requirements English and Maths qualifications – equivalent to a C or above in GCSE. Competency in Microsoft Office. Experience working as an administrator, personal assistant or in a similar role including social media.
