Job Description – Electrical Engineer - Production Engineer Specialise in placing components on bare printed circuit boards (PCBs) both manually and by machine. This is followed by programming, testing, assembly into enclosures, packaging and despatch. Key Responsibilities Develop and issue clear, detailed work procedures and instructions. Review client PCB designs, including Gerber and SMT pick-and-place files, and translate them into accurate production guidelines. Design and build simple test jigs for production and assemble wiring harnesses for programming devices. Diagnose and resolve production issues promptly and effectively. Collaborate with product designers as necessary to ensure product quality and functionality. Monitor equipment performance, addressing or escalating faults or substandard conditions without delay. Identify and troubleshoot faults in failed devices to support continuous improvement. Utilise Gerber viewers proficiently (e.g. GC-Powerplace). Operate surface mount Pick and Place machines, preferably Siemens Siplace. Working Hours: 40 hours per week. Monday: 8:00am to 5:00pm Tuesday to Thursday: 8:00am to 4:30pm Friday: 8:00am to 4:00pm Benefits: Competitive salary upto 55k and comprehensive benefits package.
