Role Summary:
Gel Engineering is seeking a skilled Fabrication Design Engineer to join our team in Stroud or Weymouth areas. As a Fabrication Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming concept drawings into detailed fabrication drawings. This position offers the opportunity to work on exciting projects and collaborate with a talented team of professionals.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Translate concept drawings into precise fabrication drawings with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure that drawings meet technical requirements and specifications.
• Utilise CAD software to create 2D and 3D models for fabrication purposes.
• Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure drawings are error-free and ready for production.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to discuss design concepts and modifications.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fabrication design techniques.
Knowledge and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, desirable.
• Proven experience in fabrication design and creating detailed drawings.
• Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and a passion for precision in design.
