Role Overview
Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust is inviting applications for two Locum Consultant positions in Orthopaedic Major Trauma Surgery at the John Radcliffe Hospital. The role is based in a Major Trauma Centre serving a catchment population of 3 million.
Responsibilities
* Deliver orthopaedic trauma surgery at consultant level within the major trauma centre setting.
* Participate in the on‑call rota and be available to work at other OUH Trust sites as required.
* Manage patients with musculoskeletal trauma as part of a dedicated trauma team.
* Participate in teaching students, training junior doctors and conducting clinical examinations.
* Engage in research and clinical trials activities alongside the team.
* Collaborate within the team environment to provide high‑quality care to the local population and the broader Thames Valley Major Trauma Network.
Qualifications
* Fully trained orthopaedic surgeon with fellowship level training in complex orthopaedic trauma surgery.
* Relevant experience in the management of complex trauma, including pelvic and acetabular fracture surgery.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a major trauma centre setting.
* Team‑player attitude and willingness to work across OUH sites as required.
