Express Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation based in Mansfield in their search for a diligent and experienced Payroll Clerk. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly finance team within a stable and growing business. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees across the organisation.
* Process weekly and monthly payrolls accurately and efficiently
* Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with GDPR and company policy
* Calculate and process statutory payments including SSP, SMP, SPP, and holiday pay
* Reconcile payroll reports and resolve any discrepancies
* Prepare payroll journals and assist with month-end and year-end reporting
* Administer pension contributions and auto-enrolment duties
* Liaise with HMRC regarding PAYE, National Insurance, and tax code changes
* Support the wider finance team with administrative and reporting tasks as required
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience within a payroll position
* Understanding of current payroll legislation and statutory requirements
* Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
* Knowledge of payroll software (Sage Payroll)
* Organisational and numerical skills
* Able to handle confidential information appropriately
* Competitive salary up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience
