What does this role involve?
As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for your store's performance, maximizing sales through physical and digital channels, and achieving store targets by leading an inclusive and diverse team that consistently demonstrates the BHF values.
This varied, fast-paced, and hands-on role involves daily responsibilities that can be physically demanding due to collections, deliveries, and donations. However, it is also highly rewarding as you contribute to funding life-saving research.
What are we looking for?
* Experience in a customer-facing role within retail, hospitality, or service industries
* Experience in leading, motivating, and developing teams
* Commercial awareness
* Ability to meet sales targets
* Commitment to maintaining high retail standards
* Ability to work proactively and adapt to changing business needs
* Comfort working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment
* Understanding of budgets and P&L management
Our stores operate 7 days a week, requiring flexibility to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.

At the British Heart Foundation (BHF), we offer a wide range of new and used furniture, clothing, jewelry, and more, available both in-store and online.
Beyond fundraising, we actively engage with local communities and promote environmental sustainability by reducing clothing and furniture waste across the UK. With over 700 stores, we prevent approximately 70,000 tonnes of waste from landfill annually. We receive 1.6 million donated items and 9.8 million bags of donations each year, and we aim to expand our reuse initiatives in the future.
