Role
Quantity Surveyor to join the KierBAM Joint Venture team based in Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard. Location: Plymouth – Devonport Royal Dockyard. Remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required. Hours: 45 per week. BPSS security clearance is required due to the sensitive site. Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past five years.
Responsibilities
* Work within the commercial team, supporting financial and contractual excellence across the MOD facility.
* Provide commercial insight, including financial and contractual performance forecasts, to help the team exceed business targets and KPIs.
* Prepare and review monthly cost reports, identifying trends and opportunities in collaboration with colleagues.
* Manage subcontractor relationships from enquiry through to payment, ensuring value and quality.
* Implement change control procedures and maintain clear communication with clients.
* Assess and mitigate commercial risks while maximising cash flow across the project.
What we are looking for
* Professionally qualified or hold a degree in Quantity Surveying or a related commercial discipline.
* Strong experience with NEC contracts and comfortable in client-facing situations.
* Proficient in MS Office (particularly Excel); experience with CEMAR or Coins/Causeway systems is desirable.
* Strong collaboration skills and excellent communication within a diverse, skilled team.
* CSCS White PQP/AQP card and a full driving licence.
