Events Coordinator

Didcot, Oxfordshire

Recruitment Solutions are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our Clients team based at their head office in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The ideal candidate will possess a passion within the Automotive Industry and a flair for organisation, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and exceeds guest expectations. This role involves coordinating various events, from corporate functions to social gatherings, while providing exceptional guest services and support throughout the planning process.

About the role

Working Hours/Days/Pay

5. Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
6. Weekend Availability to attend shows (Minimum 4+ per year)
7. £28,000-£30,000 per annum based on experience

Responsibilities

8. Plan, coordinate, and execute events from conception to completion, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
9. Liaise with clients to understand their needs and preferences, providing expert advice on venue selection, catering options, and event themes.
10. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to secure necessary resources and services for each event.
11. Manage budgets and timelines efficiently, ensuring all aspects of the event are delivered within the agreed parameters.
12. Upsell additional services or products to clients to enhance their event experience while maximising revenue opportunities.
13. Conduct site visits and inspections of venues to ensure they meet the required standards for events.
14. Provide on-site coordination during events, overseeing staff and ensuring that everything runs according to plan.
15. Gather feedback post-event to assess client satisfaction and identify areas for improvement in future events.
16. Attending shows as/when required

About you

Previous experience in event coordination or a related field within the hospitality industry is highly desirable.

17. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
18. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with clients, vendors, and team members.
19. Experience in guest services or fundraising events would be advantageous.
20. Proven time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
21. A background in Automotive/motor trade operations is beneficial but not essential.
22. MUST HAVE FULL DRIVING LICENSE and ACCESS TO OWN CAR (To drive to various shows as/when required)
