Domiciliary Carer - RBVE Village, Queen Elizabeth Court & Greenwich House Make a real difference every day Are you a caring, compassionate person who wants a rewarding role supporting veterans and older residents to live independently? We are looking for Domiciliary Carers to join our supportive Care team at the Royal British Veterans Enterprise. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide high-quality care, companionship and practical support while promoting independence, dignity and wellbeing. About the role As a Domiciliary Carer, you’ll support residents in their own flats within Queen Elizabeth Court and Greenwich House as well as homes on the wider RBVE Village. You’ll follow personalised care plans and build positive, trusting relationships that help residents live the life they choose. You’ll work as part of a friendly, multidisciplinary team including carers, housekeepers, catering, wellbeing, admin and maintenance staff. What you’ll be doing Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene) Supporting mobility, moving and handling safely Assisting with medication, including administration and self-medication support Helping with nutrition and hydration, meal preparation and kitchen tasks Providing companionship, welfare chats and emotional support Supporting residents with shopping, appointments and community activities Keeping residents’ homes clean, safe and comfortable (laundry, cleaning, bed changes) Accurately recording care and reporting any concerns in line with CQC and safeguarding requirements What we’re looking for Essential A caring, kind and compassionate nature Good communication and listening skills Basic literacy, numeracy and IT skills Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role A team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude Desirable (but not essential) Level 2 Diploma (or above) in Health & Social Care Use of vehicle due to location Care Certificate Experience in domiciliary, supported living, care or nursing home settings Experience working independently as well as part of a team Our values Everything we do is guided by our IMPACT values:Integrity • Motivated • People First • Accountable • Community • Teamwork You’ll be joining an organisation that genuinely lives these values and puts people at the heart of everything.
