Electrician - Level 3 qualified only
Location: HMP Wayland, Thetford IP25 6RL
Salary: £39,579.20 with £1,000 in RRA per annum and on call
Contract: Full time/Permanent, 39 hours per week
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated fully qualified Electrician to join our team at HMP Wayland, a Category C & adult/male prison. Join a supportive and driven team that works Monday-Friday to create a safe and nurturing environment. The Facilities Maintenance Team ensures the smooth and safe operation of the prison, impacting prisoners, employees, visitors, families and the wider community. As an Electrician, you will work alongside experienced colleagues across various trades, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment.
Responsibilities
Work alongside experienced colleagues across multiple trades to maintain and repair electrical installations in a prison setting, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and contribute to a safe and secure environment for all.
Qualifications
* Certificate in BS7671:2018 (18th edition)
* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation or Electrotechnical Services (City & Guilds/EAL), including relevant NVQs and competency assessments (AM2/AM2S). Example certificates: 2367 or 2357.
* Two years' experience as a fully qualified electrician.
* Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical systems.
* Good working knowledge of planned and preventive maintenance operations.
* Good Health & Safety knowledge.
* Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.
