Aviation - Our Aviation team works across a wide range of specialist civil, mechanical and electrical engineering works including major international airports, regional airports and RAF airfields. MGroup Transport (Aviation) are seeking a talented CAD Manager to join our Survey team. Primarily supporting our Aviation, Defence and Adjacent Markets sectors covering projects around the Southeast and Midlands. Want to come and be a part of it? What will you be doing? The Survey team provides technical services to a range of construction related disciplines, including invaluable support to our divisional teams and departments within design and construction phases of projects. This role would be based out of our Heathrow Office and is suitable for existing CAD Managers or Experienced CAD operators looking to progress their career to the next level. You’ll be supporting the Project and Site Managers with CAD technical expertise, managing and developing a small CAD team in the creation of different types of drawings for a variety of civil and infrastructure projects and provide MGroup and its clients with high-standard CAD drawings, models, documents, and work reports. You’ll also ensure workflow runs smoothly, ensure standard CAD processes are followed by the CAD team, review outputs for quality-controlled documentation, track performance, and manage CAD software. What You’ll Bring Expert user of Autodesk Suite of products, including 3D Modelling. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to interpret technical information and drawings and translate this onto CAD platform. Ability to manage work efficiently between multiple projects. Good communications skills and ability to work well with other teams and departments at all levels both internally and externally, including client liaison. Excellent data management and Quality Control. Prepare survey reports containing sufficient information and conclusions and recommendations. Contribute to the improvement of delivered products and quality of processing by accurately identifying and introducing improvement opportunities. Train, support, mentor and guide CAD technicians and newcomers to the survey team; Share knowledge and coach other team members in order to support improvements in team’s performance. Keep up to date with legislations and current industry trends. Desire for self-development and continuous self-improvement. Full UK driving license 5yr Traceable employment Desirable: Understanding of PAS128 requirements and of other industry standards Experience in the analysis of GPR data and using GPR post-processing software (External Training can be provided) Understanding of BIM practices Previous experience in a management role Experience working within the utilities, engineering and aviation sector What’s in it for you?
