*Job Summary*We are seeking a skilled Motor Vehicle Technician/MOT Tester to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with the ability to perform MOT testing efficiently and accurately. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and proficiency with various tools to ensure vehicles meet safety and emissions standards. The technician will play a vital role in maintaining our reputation for quality service and customer satisfaction.*Responsibilities** Conduct MOT tests in accordance with legal and safety standards, ensuring vehicles pass or are identified for repairs* Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes, brake inspections, tire rotations, and fluid top-ups* Diagnose mechanical issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.* Repair or replace faulty components with precision and care* Maintain detailed records of all inspections, repairs, and testing results* Ensure all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations* Assist in maintaining a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency*Requirements** Must be Punctual & have a smart appearance* Proven experience as a Motor Vehicle Technician or similar role with knowledge of vehicle systems and repairs* Must be experienced in Cambelts* Carry out Wetbelts (with training if required)* Mechanical knowledge of automotive components and systems* Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment* Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks accurately and efficiently* Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with MOT standards and safety regulations* Good problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose issues effectively* Valid certification or licensing for MOT testing* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentJob Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: £35,000.00-£41,000.00 per yearBenefits:* Employee discountWork Location: In person
