The home is divided into two units: Dementia Nursing and Dementia Residential, providing tailored, person-centred care and a warm, welcoming environment for residents, visitors and team members alike.

The Role
The Kitchen Assistants in our homes play a key role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of our kitchens, providing high-quality meals and dining experiences and supporting the wellbeing of residents through person-centred dining.
Working as part of the Kitchen team, reporting to the Chef, the role involves more than preparing and serving meals. The Kitchen Assistant will help ensure residents\' dietary needs are met and contribute to a safe and positive working environment.
Main Responsibilities
* Ensures that all catering stock and equipment are correctly stored and accounted for in accordance with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
* Delivers meals and other catering supplies to various areas within the unit in a timely and efficient manner.
* Under direction, assists with the basic preparation of food items.
* Ensures all cleaning within the kitchen, catering and servery areas is completed and complies with the company’s Assured Safe Catering standards.
* Delivers and maintains a clean and tidy environment throughout the home, in line with operational standards and ensures that work processes comply with statutory regulations.
* Undertakes any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Chef or Cook.

Required Criteria
* The Right to Work in the UK
* A good standard of both verbal and written English
* Previous catering, kitchen or food preparation experience
* Good knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
Desired Criteria
* Previous experience in a care home or healthcare environment
