LGV Mechanic

Monday - Friday + alternate Saturdays
March, Cambridgeshire
You will be required to undertake all aspects of vehicle maintenance, inspection and repair of our growing HGV fleet, joining a successful and well-established company and working alongside our team of mechanics.
You will have:
1. Minimum of 2 years’ experience or qualification in motor mechanics such as City & Guilds Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair and Technology
2. Excellent knowledge about motor technology and a strong background in HGV vehicle servicing
3. Good communication skills, ability to concentrate when under pressure
4. Good manual dexterity, methodical and organised and able to work to strict deadlines
5. Be able to work alone and follow instructions
6. Must have own transport and full UK driving licence
Performing the following tasks:
7. Inspect vehicles to MOT standard
8. Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
9. Ensure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premises
10. Complete all paperwork as necessary
11. Ensure all aspects of H&S working practices are adhered to
12. Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
Salary: Based on experience and discussed at interview.
