The Successful Manufacturing Engineer - Requirements
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll be responsible for supporting the full production lifecycle – from design and NPI to process planning and shopfloor support. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning and designing efficient manufacturing processes with a focus on lean and waste reduction.
*
Producing accurate stage drawings, set-up packs, SOPs, and detailed documentation.
*
Creating accurate cost and lead-time quotes.
*
Providing strong support for New Product Introduction (NPI) projects.
*
Generating and proving out offline programs for CNC milling and turning (3-, 4-, and 5-axis).
*
Designing tooling and fixtures to enhance machining capabilities.
*
Supporting quality activities such as PFMEA and non-conformance investigations.
*
Working closely with machinists to resolve daily issues and implement corrective actions.
*
Ensuring components are delivered on-time, to spec, and within budget.
The Successful Manufacturing Engineer - Experience & Skills Required:
*
HNC in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
*
Strong CNC programming experience (milling & turning, 3–5 axis).
*
Proficient in CAD/CAM packages (VISI, SolidWorks, etc.).
*
Knowledge of ISO9001 & AS9100 standards.
*
Experience within Aerospace or Automotive environments.
*
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement.
*
Fixture design and 3D modelling experience (desirable).
*
Computer literate (MS Word, Excel).
