We're looking for a Site Engineer to join our United Utilities Framework in the North West of England. Location: Manchester and Cumbria (multiple locations available). Hours: 45 hours per week – some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us. We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.
Join our team as a Site Engineer and play a vital role in delivering high‑quality construction projects. You'll provide technical expertise, accurate setting out, and ensure all works meet design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements. Working collaboratively with our site team, you'll help coordinate engineering, construction, and commercial functions to achieve successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Carry out site engineering tasks including setting out, surveying, and checking works against design drawings
* Support the coordination and planning of site works, ensuring technical queries are resolved promptly
* Maintain site records such as daily diaries, as‑built information, and inspection and test plans
* Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure timely delivery of works
* Promote health, safety, and environmental policies whilst ensuring compliance with site regulations
Requirements
* Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
* Previous experience in a site‑based engineering role within a relevant industry
* Proficiency in using setting out and surveying equipment (e.g., total station, GPS)
* Strong understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and construction processes
* Hold a CSCS card, relevant safety qualifications, and a full driving licence
* Transferable skills are welcomed; applicants who do not tick every box are encouraged to apply
